I actually managed to get up at 7AM!

Traffic was bad though, it took an hour to get there.

This started because I wanted to go try the Trails Cafe but I ended up with a good walk around.

I guess this area would be considered Griffith Park.

Honestly thought I might die here, there wasn't really anyone around and I had no clue how long the trail was.

This caterpillar thing scared me so bad when I was walking back.

The trail I went on isn't much to look at but overall the park is a nice, quiet place.

Really nice in the mornings when it's cooler.

I got the Lychee Crush.

This actually doesn't taste like...anything.

Really watery.

It has bits of lychee and strawberry that gives it a little taste but it doesn't taste like tea at all.

I should have gotten my usual mangonada.

Hmmm but anyway, it was a fun day.

I have a newfound taste for uncrustables, lmao.

Hope the kids got something out of it.

Since I have to drop Be off at school on Wednesday mornings, I went to the park.

Dale Page Park

Redondo Beach, CA

The walk is about a mile long!

It's kind of creepy with the buzzing power lines but it was a nice walk.

It crosses Artesia Blvd, too.

There's a juicebar opening where the Brazilian pastry shop was.

I happened to be walking by who I assume is the owner.

She gave me a package of granola and it was actually really good.

Kind of soft and sticky but good nonetheless.

Will have to check the shops out in a few months when they're done renovating!

Also took a drive to Polliwog Park.

Went to the little grass amphitheater thing.

Kinda just sat there and fixed up my notebook.

Really relaxing.

What a great idea.

I really should try to do it more often.

I decided at some point to start getting up early and getting things done.

Like, just actually doing something instead of sleeping a lot.

I marked a few places to go.

But daylight savings kind of got in the way so that's on hold for a bit.

I managed to take a random trip to Manhattan Beach, though.

Who knew it was going to be this cloudy.

The pictures look kind of pretty though.

I walked around for about an hour.

I wish I put more time on the meter.

Next time I should get there early enough for the free parking lot.

Finally, chicken and waffles that I REALLY like.
The waffles taste like croissants and there's a caramelized outer layer.
Bad thing is it sticks a lot to the paper tray.
The chicken got stuck to it too when it hardened.
Both were reallyyyy good though, I didn't even need the sauces.

Would like to come back to SteelCraft to try the other restaurants!

On the right is the peach blossom, which is orangey tea. Boba was good.

I miss Long Beach.
