Tuesday, April 11, 2017 - Griffith Park, Los Feliz, CA

I actually managed to get up at 7AM!
Traffic was bad though, it took an hour to get there.

This started because I wanted to go try the Trails Cafe but I ended up with a good walk around.
I guess this area would be considered Griffith Park.

Honestly thought I might die here, there wasn't really anyone around and I had no clue how long the trail was.

This caterpillar thing scared me so bad when I was walking back.

The trail I went on isn't much to look at but overall the park is a nice, quiet place.
Really nice in the mornings when it's cooler.

Almond cranberry scone.
$4, I think. Yummy.
I should have tried the buttermilk one but I already brought egg salad with me.

Up at the Observatory.
You don't have to pay for parking until 12PM!
This would be the west side, so Century City, Westwood, etc.

Downtown LA.

Never noticed this lawn solar system model before.
Pretty cool!
They have Pluto, too.

Skylight Books

Really love the feel of this bookstore.
If I didn't park in metered parking, I might've stayed there for a few hours.
The natural light is so nice.

The art store side.
Zines.

Zeus Fries.
Got it with beef/lamb gyro.
So much yummy feta cheese and sauce.

I wish I could have gone to Churro Borough but I already spent more than I planned to!

Wed, Apr 5, 2017 - parks

Since I have to drop Be off at school on Wednesday mornings, I went to the park.

Dale Page Park
Redondo Beach, CA

The walk is about a mile long!
It's kind of creepy with the buzzing power lines but it was a nice walk.
It crosses Artesia Blvd, too.

There's a juicebar opening where the Brazilian pastry shop was.
I happened to be walking by who I assume is the owner.
She gave me a package of granola and it was actually really good.
Kind of soft and sticky but good nonetheless.

Will have to check the shops out in a few months when they're done renovating!

Also took a drive to Polliwog Park.
Went to the little grass amphitheater thing.
Kinda just sat there and fixed up my notebook.
Really relaxing.
What a great idea.

I really should try to do it more often.
