Sunday, Jan 12, 2018 - Atlantic Times Square Mall, Monterey Park, CA

Atlantic Times Square Mall
500 N Atlantic Blvd, Monterey Park, CA 91754

This place is super nice for lots of Asian food and products.
First stop was Daiso, then a snack shop.

Aji Ichiban

Got a bunch of candy and there were lots of samples out so we tried a lot of things like dried fish, etc.
Super good!
We also tried licorice which was a mistake, the taste is so strong and lingers!

Neofuns

Super adorable arcade!!
The prices seem a bit expensive but I guess the prizes look really quality.
Lots of Asian characters.
There were a lot of mini sized games too for little kids!
So cute

This place probably has every popular Asian beauty product I've heard of.
I felt like a kid in a candy store but honestly everything was priced pretty expensive!
Good to know where I could find these items in a brick and mortar shop though.
Really awesome find.

Happy Lemon / Sunmerry Bakery

Happy Lemon is a recent love of mine.
The drinks here weren't as good but there was a big bakery section similar to 85 Degrees.
The prices looked about the same too.
Really pretty cakes!

Sunday, November 19, 2017 - Tom's Urban, BBQ Chicken, Los Angeles, CA

Tom's Urban
1011 S Figueroa St B101, Los Angeles, CA 90015

I didn't take a picture of my actual food here lmao.
I got the calamari though, pretty good.

BBQ Chicken LA
3450 W 6th St #103, Los Angeles, CA 90020

The green onion sauce was super good.
I prefer boneless chicken lmao
The chicken is pretty similar to love letter, maybe a bit better and more sides.

Friday, November 10, 2017 - Birdies, Little Fluffy Head Cafe, Los Angeles, CA

Birdies
314 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90015

So the chicken here is alright, I think it really needs the sauce to be better so...yeah haha.
Tried the pistachio lemon thyme donut, it was really good.
More worth it than the $3.50 maple bacon donut I got from Astro Donuts/FC.
It's very decadent and the flavors were really nice.

I like the decor here with the black walls, white floors, wood furniture.

Little Fluffy Head Cafe
203 W 7th St, Los Angeles, CA 90014

Can't access their actual site without getting hit with a warning soooo

I got the black tea with salted whipped cream cheese.
I thought I wouldn't like it but it's really yummy.
The cream cheese is really thick and it gives an interesting taste.
$6-$7 a drink.

The decorations are very minimal, pretty.
I like the neon signs a lot.

The bad thing is the impossibility of finding parking at the time that we were there, which was on a Friday at around 1PM.
Which is understandable in that downtown area but makes it difficult to want to visit regularly.

There are seriously so many treasures in Downtown LA.
At one intersection, you were near Acne, APC, Aesop, Urban Outfitters, and so many other things.
Will be great to spend some more time exploring there!

Monday, November 6, 2017 - Umenoya Ramen Company, Torrance, CA

Umenoya Ramen Company
24222 Crenshaw Blvd, Torrance, CA 90505

Got the Spicy Miso, of course.
Hmmmm I should have had more of the soup but I always like the spicy soups.
The pork is pretty salty though.
I'm not sure if the egg was supposed to be cold but yeah.
I liked the noodles because they were on the softer side, they should totally let you add more.
I can't really compare to different places but I liked it overall.
